On a small hill off the road to Analiontas can be seen the Monastery of Archangelos Michael, another monastery turned into convent run by Cypriote nuns. |
The monastery is in the area of Tamasos, earliest centre of Christianity in Cyprus. St. Herakleidios was the first Bishop being appointed by St. Barnabas himself. He is said to have been the son of a heathen priest, and to have met the two Apostles, Paul and Barnabas when they came to Cyprus. |
